Agent Workbench is in private preview. Request access for the Microsoft service you use, or follow the installation instructions in your existing invitation.

Preview access is by invitation. Your Microsoft licensing and organization’s policies still apply.

A practice package with two fixable defects

This small, synthetic package has an unnecessary wildcard validDomains entry and a blue outline icon. A repair should remove the unused domain entries and turn the visible outline pixels white while preserving transparency. The corrected copy should have no findings from these offline checks.

Download practice ZIP

For a conversation that accepts individual files, download all four package members:

The practice files contain no real customer data, credentials, or remote tools. Their placeholder website addresses deliberately do not resolve. Use them to learn the review and repair workflow; they are not the Agent Workbench plugin or a package intended for publication.

Cowork

  1. Open a Cowork task with the Agent Workbench plugin enabled through your preview access.
  2. Attach the practice ZIP or an existing package you are authorized to work on.
  3. Ask for a review with the prompt below. Read the findings before asking for a repair.
  4. Download the report and corrected copy, then compare them with the original.

If the plugin is unavailable in your account, contact support with the step and the message you see.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Open Agent Workbench using the access instructions supplied with your preview. Attach the native package files listed above when ZIP attachments are unavailable, keeping their original names. Include any additional files referenced by a real package.

Ask for an inspection first, then a focused revision or repair. Check that the response includes the files you requested and that each download opens. If an attachment is missing or a download fails, report that result through support; file delivery in this preview is still being verified.

Copyable first prompts

These prompts are intentionally small. Replace the bracketed phrase with the question you need answered and keep the package in the host where you are working.

Inspect this existing Microsoft 365 agent package before changing it. Identify the package files, the declared capabilities, and any findings supported by the source. Keep unknowns explicit and propose the smallest safe revision.
Revise this existing package for [describe one concrete change]. Preserve unrelated files and bindings. Explain which source supports the change, show the resulting file-level edits, and call out anything that still needs host verification.
Repair this existing package using only findings supported by the package and the supplied evidence. Preserve unknown or unrelated members, produce a separate corrected package, and report what changed and what still requires Microsoft host verification.

What to expect

  • Use the setup instructions supplied with your preview invitation. Package files are handled in the Microsoft service where you use the plugin.
  • Preview access does not include a Microsoft license.
  • The package is customer work. Do not paste credentials, tokens, private keys, or sensitive customer content into support.
  • A clean package report is a preflight result. Microsoft validation, installation, and Marketplace certification are separate checks.

For a host-specific question, use support and include the host, step, exact error, and time observed.
