If you allow it, Celest tells OpenAI when an Agent Workbench account is created from this browser, with a one-way hash of the signup email, your IP address, and browser type, so OpenAI can match the signup to an ad. Nothing is shared with OpenAI unless you allow it.
Your account works the same either way.
What's shared and for how long
Sent to OpenAI when an account is created from this browser: that an account was created and when, the signup page address without its query, a one-way event ID used to prevent duplicates, OpenAI's ad-click reference when your visit carried one, a one-way SHA-256 hash of the email you sign up with, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. OpenAI can match the hash to an email it already knows, such as a ChatGPT account.
Not sent: your name, organization, Microsoft account identifiers, files, credentials, or anything you do in Workbench. The report is flagged to opt out of future user-level ad personalization. Celest keeps no separate database of these reports.
This choice is saved in this browser, shared between celest.dev and workbench.celest.dev, for up to 180 days. It is not tied to your Celest account or Microsoft sign-in. While allowed, it also applies if you return without an ad link. Changes apply to future signups from this browser and do not recall a report already sent to OpenAI. Read the product privacy notice.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, Celest keeps this off even if an older choice says allow.
